Dear colleague,
I would be grateful if you could clarify the amount of mercury in each GSK vaccine. I understand that thiomersal contains ethylmercury, a form of mercury different to that found in fish, and more easily metabolised. It would be very useful to quantify the amount of mercury in a single dose of the GSK vaccine in comparison to the amount of mercury you might find in the average tin of tuna. When counselling patients, particularly those who might be pregnant this could be really useful information.
Do you have this information
Kind Regards
